I have a mini DV tape that was recorded in Spain in PAL format and I am
trying to transfer the video to my computer. I have a JVC mini DV camera
NTSC. I thought I could capture the to the computer using this camera even
though it won't play PAL format. My understanding was that the computer
doesn't care whether it's PAL or NTSC. I plan to use the video for my
website. Do I need to capture from a mini DV player that plays PAL? It
there any other option? Thanks

The computer doesn't care, but the camcorder does...

So I guess I need a camcorder or player that play PAL?
