Yikes! I guess you could call it that. I've never experimented with
it as an effect though, and wonder what it sounds like in substantial
amounts.

It sounds mostly like ... dirty tape heads, for lack of a better
description. It doesn't necessarily lower high frequencies, and
it depends on which "discipline" i used ( do I remember
previous samples, or just "truncate" ? ).
It's relatively easy to do with the VST plugin kit.
Dunno. I find it hard to beleive it's useful. Some visual concepts
don't map to audio all that well.
