I'm trying to back up dual layer DVDs (to dual layer DVDs) using Roxio
Easy DVD Copy (v. 7.1.0.95, windows xp). Unfortunately, I think the
software has the layer break problem, so I always end up with one
chapter which never plays and sometimes crashes my computer/DVD
player...

Does anyone have any ideas (prefably other than buying different
software)? Is it possible to burn the disc to an image and then
somehow manipulate the layer break to fall neatly between chapters and
then burn the image to the new DVD? If I do need new software, any
recommendations?

Thanks!

The entire concept of dual layer is so marginally workable it is difficult
to know what to tell you. The same problem occurs for many people using
Nero and authoring program burning engines as well. What media are you
using?

The media being used is Memorex DVD+R DL.

That is crap. DL discs other than Verbatim are problematical. Further,
even with genuine Verbatim compatability is about 47%.
