This is the VCR with the built in EIA-J PCM adapter (or vice versa)? If
it just needs work on the transport, any shop that repairs VCRs can do
it, though if it needs a part rather just cleaning and lubrication,
that will be more difficult.

It really only has value to someone who has 14-bit PCM recordings on
VHS tape. If you're lucky, you might get a bite. But in general they
have no value.

I happen to own a DX-900, as well as the service manual for it. I also own
a Sansui PC-X11 converter that allows one to make 14-bit digital recordings
on any VCR--even an old monaural one.
I'm willing to negotiate a sale of either or both of these fine pieces of
equipment.

My e-mail address works fine.
