Problem w/ EX420 and Shutter Sync |

Ran into a problem today with my EX420. It seems as if it's not firing at
the proper time and therefore my pic are coming out as if they weren't
flashed at all. This is happening on both my 20D and 300D. I've watched
the flash fire, I've worked with the High Speed Sync setting, even worked
with FEC and nothing seems to work.
Any ideas on how to fix it or is it bound for Canon Repair.
