I've purchased, over time, half a dozen small old guitar amps, such as
Supro, Magatone, Silvertone, Kay, etc. I'd like to experiment with
replacing the tubes on some of these. I understand that there are a
lot of folks selling stuff as NOS which isn't. I don't mind paying a
fair price for genuine NOS tubes. Can you recommend some honest
dealers in this area?

Thanks

There are no more NOS tubes in common guitar and hi-fi numbers. Go use
new ones instead and you will quit making people defraud you.

Often NOS small signal tubes are no more expensive than new ones. I'm not
impressed at all with the longevity of Sovtek 9 pin production. I'd take a
Telefunken any day over any modern tube.

Output tubes are another matter. Might buy NOS for hi-fi but not for
guitar.

Contact Jim McShane. He sells both NOS and modern stuff. Honorable too.
(It takes a crooked garage trader to know the difference . . . )
