Neve 2254a repairs in Toronto? |
|
|
Where can I get a Neve 2254A compressor fixed
in or near Toronto? It's actually a dual unit
with the Stereo switch. Threshold set way low,
and input being driven very hot - but I still
can't get one side to compress at all (and the
other side doesn't compress very much).
I've tried every possible switch/dial combination.

Try Patrick Holder at Tele-Tech.ca in Marham.

Have you tried to calibrate it? I posted, about a year ago,
the steps I took to calibrate mine. Do a search. Did you
just get yours at the Maclear auction? I was there...

There is one name that I heard about for Neve work in Toronto.
Roger Ginsley. I have never met him, but apparently he knows
a lot about the "vintage" stuff.
