My experiences with Pinnacle products was very negative. Very unstable
and zero support service. I regret buying it. It came with a firewire
interface card and the studio software. I've had problems with both
hardware and software.

In my opinion....your best option is to return it, or get rid of it.

I agree but the shop refuses.

Excellent, now you can find something that works well. Let me know what
you find. I'm in need of some new software.

The go Premeier Elements. I haven't used it, but the reviews have been
positive.

I have used it, and it's far worse than Pinnacle Studio, at least from a
usability standpoint. It may be more stable, but it's a lot harder to
get good video out of IMHO.

I'm thinking of trying Sony's Vegas Movie Studio+DVD - might just be the
thing to replace Studio.

True story...

Pinnacle did do well with the interface. Very easy to use, if you can
keep it running. Thanks for the suggestions. I'll take a look too.
