I have been having a problem with my computer for about a week, and so
far have not found any solution.

Problem: I have been having an issue with ALL playback video, AVI,
MPEG. When I attempt to play my video, only 1/4 of the video is shown.
It appears that all my video has been cropped to the bottom right.
sound works fine. I havent really tried messing around with downloaded
codecs because I know that those can lead to worse problems than
solutions. The only recent program that was installed was a demo to Age
of Empires 3. (which didnt run too well.) I uninstalled it without any
effect to my video problem. The problem seemed to occur around the time
it was installed, but am unsure if it really affected my video
playback/streaming.
The only video that does work is video displayed during video games.
This problem also occurs when trying to view television through my ATI
television PCI card. To me this sounds like a codec issue, but I would
like an answer to what steps I need to take to repair this problem.
