DivX to DVD question |
|
|
Hi,
I have a whole season of a show in individual DivX format files (one
per show). What I want it a piece of software that will ingest all of
these files and create one DVD burnable file with a main menu page that
includes links to each episode.
Is there software out there that does this?
Cheers in advance.
Thanks,
David

NeroVision Express will do this. There is always some loss when video is
re-encoded.
If it were me, I would burn the divx files to a DVD rom, you could get quite
a few on one DVD. |

It really can't be done with satisfactory results. Burn them to a DVD data disk and purchase a
player that can play Divx for around $50 or so. The player will automatically display a menu of
what is on each disk and you can select the episode that you want. |

Not with a menu but if you use DivXToDVD and then if necessary DVDShrink the
half dozen or dozen segments will play consultatively or the 'next' button
will move to the next file. I've done this with 12 eps of a tv comedy
series. Each DivX file is 350meg fixed width 720 etc |

I don't know of a single program to do what you're seeking, but you can
do it with freeware and fairly simple guides. After converting your
DivX to DVD-compatible mpeg (use DivXToDVD or whatever software you
like) you can easily create your own menu and author the DVD by
following this guide:

It ain't a one-click solution, but it works, and i've used it to create
several compilation DVDs that work perfectly. |
