I'm not suprised you got lost in Derby. the ring road is the biggest POS
going. its pointless, road markings may as well not be there.

heh. I had a gig in Derby last year and tried out a new GPS I was
thinking of buying - the wee beauty drove me right into the Assembly
Rooms loading bay ;) I was sold (and so was it)...

Gavin

Ahh the assembly rooms.
I've tried a couple of gps units. although when driving round derby i didn't
really take any notice as i knew where i was going.
Load in for that place can be difficult to get to depending on which
direction you are coming from due to the one way system. added to the low
bridge nearby.

I used to do a bit of driving with (and renting from) a rip-off
splitter bus merchant called "Showtrans" a couple of years ago and
they used the turbodailys. Real wrecks they were.

'Wrecking all over the world' - isn't that their tagline?

Otherwise known as slow-trans. Guy that runs it is a real rip-off merchant

and still owes me a lot of money despite having a court order against him.
Basically he starts up a company, runs up loads of debts then goes bankrupt,
starts up all over again using the same buses, office and everything. Buses
are owned by another company he has set up and rented back by whatever
incarnation of "showtrans" he has come up with.

As I said, a real con-artist.
