Sonic DVDIt 5 Opinions |

Anybody have any opinions on this authoring software. The only
question that I have about this is, does this allow one to create
custom menus, not just from pre-set background templates like Adobe
Premiere Elements? Thank you

You can use Adobe Photoshop Elements to create your own custom
templates. Sonic DVDit 5 has some preset images and you can load them
into Photoshop Elements to see how they are constructed (use of layers
and specific layer names). The software documentation explains this
very clearly. I don't think you can create these templates from
within DVDit 5 itself.

You might consider "Gimp2" it can make layered psd files
also, and it's free. I've used it to make menu items with
roll-over text and other effects in TMPGEnc DVD Author
(TDA). If you click on a menu background in TDA it brings
up a file selection menu so that you can load your own
background image, still or motion.
Luck;
