Hi,

I cannot get my EZMaker USB2.0 to connect to my XP SP2 PC. It used to
connect correctly. Also, it still connects correctly and works with my
Laptop. EZMaker allows me to capture on the PC from a VCR.

I suspect that it is something to do with my Driver. The Driver shows
as going to Code 10.

If I uninstall and re-install the EZMaker Driver, it shows as working
correctly, but when I use ULEAD Movie Factory 2 SE (Supplied with the
Device) to access the EZMaker, the system crashes (Full Screen Blue
Screen) and does a dump claiming that there is an error with
m8mini20.sys. I have verified that this is installed when I install the
EZMaker Driver. Next time I boot up, the device is gone back to code
10.

I have tried the usual suspects of un-installing and re-installing the
USB drivers, but to no avail.

Help! Any idea.

Regards

Dilip

What you should be uninstalling and reinstalling is Ulead Movie Factory
because thats what appears to be screwing you up.

I happened to have had the unfortunate experieince of having some ULEAD
stuff installed on one of my machines a while ago. It completely hosed my
USB stuff. I think the ULEAD crap is garbage.

Hi,

I have already tried Uninstalling and Installing Movie Factory. But had
no success. In anycase the offending m8mini20.sys driver is part of the
Aver EZmaker install. I suspect that somehow it is not compatible with
XP SP2, but cannot prove it. Only thing proof is that it worked prior
to my SP2 upgrade and my laptop is on XP SP1.
