Wireless Mic Size Problem |

Hello, I have an upcoming predicament. I am going to be the sound
engineer for an upcoming production of "A Chorus Line". I have been
thinking about how I am going to mic the main actors and I have a
question. (Telling them so sing louder doesn't work.) I am wondering
what the smallest wireless mic system is. I am currently using Shure
UC4 receivers with Shure UC1-UB transmitters. I don't care about the
receiver size, mainly the transmitter size. I am willing to rent a new
system if it comes down to that. I'm just wondering about the wireless
mic systems that you have used, and what the smallest transmitter is
out there.

Small hey, Have you seen the Sennheiser SK 5012-U? I haven't seen
smaller. I'm not sure if you can use just the transmitter - you may
need their reveiver to. Also, you may want to verify that the
connection is the right one for your mics.

are you worried about the size of the actual mic or the size of the
body pack?
There is also a stagecraft news group, I don't remember the exact name,
you can find it.

Lectrosonics has been crowing about their new "smallest ever" wireless
mic transmitter. If you're not sufficiently plugged in to the field so
that you haven't yet heard about them, you probably can't afford to buy
them. But you might be able to rent them. |
