which medium for which type of authoring and burning DVD
There appear to be three different types of DVD media in use: DVD-R,
DVD+R
and DVD-VR, besides the DVD-RW.
Clearly, DVD RW has a different use, basically saving files which are
likely to be updated from time to time.
But what are the specific applications for which the other three are
the most economic medium?
1) multi-session applications: is the DVD+R or DVD-RW medium a must
for this application?
2) single session of recording a TV program of 2 hours directly on a
DVD: is DVD-R the most economic solution here?
3) single session TV program recorded on Hard Disk to be edited and
transferred to DVD: can DVD-R be used here? Or here too DVD_R is
necessary?
4) several episodes of a serial recorded on VCR tape to edited to clip
off commercials and authored and burnt on DVD: DVD-R does not appear
to be usable, here? Is DVD+R or DVD-RW a must?
NeroVision Express 3 refers to a format called DVD-VR in its menu for
rcording Video. However, the Help info does not specify on which
medium a DVD-VR is to be recorded. Any comments?
