HD TV problem(weak signal) slow-inconsisent |

Hello,
I have a problem. I have a Philips HD TV model number 51PP9910/17
The TV is extremely slow to change channels. Especially on the digital
channels.
In addition the TV will display "weak signal" when I first try a
digital channel(e.g. 9.2). If I try the same channel again, the
channel works. But it's weird that I always have to retry the digital
channels to get them to work. I know my signal strength and quality is
good, b/c the cable company tested it. in addition to me getting a
great cable internet connection.
Has any one heard of this problem with Philips HD TV? I am not using a
digital box, just the built in tuner of the TV. Does that make a
difference? Lastly, in the lower left hand corner of the TV, I always
get a lower case "d", like the menu did not get cleared.
Do I maybe need to upgrade the firmware? If so how?
ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED!! PLEASE HELP ON HOW TO FIX THE ABOVE ISSUES.
