Pinnacle Studio DV 9 Question..... |
|
|
I just loaded Studio 9 yesterday, and was appalled to see that all those
beautiful transitions don't work. Do you have to purchase ALL of the
transitions and effects, one group at a time? All of the transitions, except
for the first 3 groups, seem to be locked, and when I went to unlock them, I
got a Pinnacle page that said you
have to purchase them to get an Activation Key. Is this true? If so, the
program would cost over $200, which is ridiculous!! I have the Plus
version, and even the Bonus disk, but all the transitions are still locked.
Thanks for any help!
Best,
Ray in Cleveland

Yep. You want all those "fancy" transitions, they come at a price. You
can still do your basic stuff without a hitch. You can purchase them
individually or as a group. Makes good sense to me. There are many
transitions that I have that are, for me, useless.
I have the HFX Pro pack, and am using Liquid Edition 6.1 Pro. I have
Studio 9+ to just play with. |

I does not cost $200 unless you unlock all of them and that is way
more than you would need in your lifetime. You can select individual
packs that are much, much cheaper. Besides transition should be use
very little and only when necessary to improve the video. Heck, it is
easy to do a whole full DVD movie without ever using them. There a so
many other things like picture in picture and zoom, etc that do much
more to make the video look great. The biggest single mistake most
beginers video editors make is to put what they like into the movie
rather than what the viewer want. Most of the time less is better.
