HDTV projectors.
Typically, I find that they have 300W bulbs.
Are there any that run brighter?

You mean generally brighter or with a lamp with a higher wattage?300 W is

already too much for an incadescent lamp, but little for a halogen. In
Europe, even in supermarkets, there are 500 W halogen lamps for spotlights
and diffused lighting fixtures. In a projector, however, there are problems
with the heat, so possibly they can't have a larger wattage.

If you look at the IMAX question I posted you will probably guess that what I am
trying to do is work out the difference in illumination between IMAX and home
theatre systems. Given that screen size varies, I need a measure of how much
light leaves the projector. Home theatre seems to go up to around 2000 lumens
with no problem. However, I cannot find the IMAX equivalent that would enable me
to work on screen sizing.
