I currently have a Pioneer DVR-109 which has a lot of hours on
it. What would you recommend as a replacement?
TIA

Are you talking drive for the computer? I use a LiteON dual layer.

I bought a Pioneer A104 when they were new, and was instantly

disappointed by how choosy it was about disks.

I had a LiteOn LVW-5045 for a while, which I would expect to have used
a LiteOn drive, and it deteriorated so badly in the 8 months that I
had it that I got a refund under guarantee. They didn't offer a
replacement ...

In my three PCs I have two NEC ND-2510As and an LG GSA-4163B.
They all perform extremely well.

They're all dual-layer capable, and the LG drive can use DVD-RAM, but
I've only used single-layer media so far.
