Minolta A2 self-timer |
|
|
Hi all:
I have been playing with my new camera and found that
the 10s self timer turns off after each picture taken.
OTOH, the 2s self-timer stays on. The manual doesn't
say anything about this. Is that normal behavior?
Thanks,
Mishka

Sounds about right - the only reason I can see for a 2 second timer would be
when you haven't got a cable release - enough time to press the shutter and
let the vibrations settle before the camera takes the photo. On that basis
it would make sense to leave it enabled afterwards.

I have a Z1, and it only has a 10 sec. delay option. -And it goes back to
single-mode after each picture taken. (Very annoying).
-And btw, I really miss the 2 sec. option...

Yes it is normal.
It is described in the manual, at the bottom of page 68:
"When using the ten-second self-timer, the drive mode is reset to
single-frame advance after the exposure."
