My 2-1/2 yr old Phillips DVDR75 won't finalize a DVD+R anymore. Then I
noticed that the pre-recorded dvds from the local rental store won't play
smoothly or skips anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes. Some
movies won't even load.

Anyone else having problems with there's like this? Repair history/options
or advice would be greatfull.

Have you contacted Philips? They're on the Internet you know.
