The easiest simple - and fast program that will take DVD compliant Mpeg2
files is TmpGenc DVD Author, others are more limited or a lot harder to use.
An acceptable alternative if the source files are not DVD Compliant would be
ULead's DVD MovieFactory or VideoStudio, just VideoStudio has better editing
facilities.

can make video_ts.bup , video_ts.ifo , video_vob etc. files into one so
that then when I have a movie that is made up of two parts I am then able
to just have two menus on my dvd , so then when I put my dvd of which I
burn into my player its just the simple case of choosing either part 1 or 2
of the movie I would want to watch instead of a bunch of small movie files
to choose from. Can you tell me of a program thats easy and simple to use so
that I am able to do this with. And if possible being able to put more than
one movie onto a dvd with a menu to pick what one you would like to watch.

Most of what you told, is done by the software, your steps should be:
what is my source material: uncompressed .avi's or maybe divx files ?
do i want to edit before compressing ?
The encoder for MPEG encoding: spend money or not, fast encoding or
doesn't matter... take a peek at www.videohelp.com
and check out these tools: Pinnacle Studio 9 (or higher), CCE basic,
DVDLab, a fast option (hardware) ConvertX (for capture) and a Plextor
burner, in combo with the new Plextools Pro XL, the XL version is the
Plextor burning tool that also has a capture function, should you
already have a Plextor burner, Plextools is even a better choice over
Nero, the Xl version gives you total control over the Plextor
products. |
