I'm looking for a XM radio with CD and tape player to go into my 2002
kia sedona. I cannot seem to find a unit with all 3. My factor unit has
a CD and a tape player. I don't want to buy the car adapter that has
all them wires. And I still want my tape deck. Does anyone know who
makes one? Thanks

You will probably not find one.

There are very few tape players on the market today, however, here is an
idea.

If you are happy with your current radio, have am XM unit installed that
uses FM modulator. Or even better...

Change your radio out to be CD and XM ready and use an FM modulator for the
tape. This is better because a tape does not have the sound quality you can
hear a drop in and XM does.

In major metro areas, especially when you're between major metro areas,

FM modulators can be a PITA. For example, I live in Central NJ and use
the FM modulator for my Clarion Sirius unit. It has about 12 presets
starting at around 88.1. There isn't a single one that works (i.e., has
dead air) in both markets; even the local university stations use up
some of the frequencies. For my 20 mile commute, I need to start out
using a preset not using a frequency in use in Philadelphia, then at
about mile 18 that frequency is used out of NY, so I need to switch to
another preset, which of course is in use closer to Philadelphia. Most
times I just switch to the radio or CD for the last 2 miles to avoid the
hassle.

Really makes me mad though, when I'm listening to Raw Dog Comedy and I
miss the punch-line :)

Pioneer FH-P4200MP (double-DIN)

There seem to be more posibilities, when you go for an XM ready AM/FM/CD
cassette head unit, but the XM receiver is external (installed under
seat, dash, or in the glove box, etc.), or an AM/FM/XM cassette head
unit where the CD unit is an external multi-CD changer.
