New Neutrik XLR Ends - A Warning |
|
|
OK this may sound stupid, but I have discovered something bad about the
New Neutric XLR Connectors. When I get a batch of XLRS I assemble them
and put them in a shelf so they don't take up so much space with the
bag and such. The new ones LOCK when you assemble them completely
without any wire in them. They takes a HELL of a lot of pressure to
undo and you wreck the locking threads in the process. So if you get
the new ones and store them like me... don't assemble them
completly...my hand is beat red of disassembling them!

Thanks for the tip. I just got some and assembled one of them. That's how I |
usually store them, too. I haven't tried taking it apart, but I will heed
your advice for all of the rest. |

Pliers are a good solution, but I store them in a retail store, I can't
sell them with plier marks. The solution I found was put one (an older
one) in a vice, connect the new one...and give it hell. Works better
then free handing them. Cheers Boys

Maybe they didn't like it when people reused old ones instead of buying
new ones...
