Canon PowerShot A75 |
|
|
Bought a Canon PowerShot A75 in the US. Worked fine for few weeks.
Facing a strange problem. The camera turns on and able to preview
through the lens but unable to take pictures.
When pressing the Click button, get a red light and orange light
which should be green.
Checked the following
- Battries seem to be okay. Just got new ones
- There is enough space in the CF card. This is 256 MB CF card. Tried using
32 MB CF Card also
- Tried all possible modes
Anybody noticed this phenomenon. Any help?
Thanks in advance.

What kind of batteries? Alkalines are very marginal for powering any
digital camera. They can be "new", yet not absolutely fresh, and give
problems. Forget alkalines except for emergencies.
On the other hand, if they are NiMH batteries, have you charged them for
a full charge cycle before trying to use them?

Not sure what's wrong, but have you tried formatting the CF card, while in
the camera?

Thanks guys for responses
- The battries are new and charged to full. They are NiMH battries
from Sony (2300 mAh)
Still no luck. However, other functions of camera work properly.
I mean I can view the images on CF Card. Also tried formating
CF card from the camera with Format option.
