RE: XL-1 12-bit 4channel (ST-1, ST-2 Mix) audio

Did a series of interviews with XL-1 with record input audio mode at
12-bit 4channel (ST-1, ST-2 Mix).

Freaked out when I got back to town and played back tapes and I got no
audio at all. I then figured out problem was that you need to set camera
audio mode to 12-bit ST-1, ST-2 Mix for playback.

Tapes had audio and sounded fine for 12-bit.

Then I tried to digitize with FCP4 and audio did not come in.

Anyone know what settings I need in FCP 4 to capture the 4-ch 12-bit
ST-1, ST-2 Mix audio/video??

I believe you have to choose which audio channels you want to capture
with the video. Channels 1 or 2. You would make this choice in the
audio section of the capture dialogs.

I have been using Scenalyzer on the PC now for a coupla years. It
allows me to import at one time one channel with the video, and the
other as a wav file.

I may be wrong with the first paragraph, but look around the movie
capture audio dialogs to find your answer (if there is one).
