I have this problem: I've got a DVD -- a finished DVD -- that somebody gave
me, which contains some video that he'd like to have me transfer off the DVD
and into Adobe Premiere where I/we can include it in a different DVD to be
authored.

So I've got to figure out how to get the video off the DVD and into a form
where I can get it into Premiere. I guess I have to get the VOB objects
somehow back into some kind of MPEG form and maybe yet some other form that
Premiere will accept (generally I work with Pinnacle AVI). Can somebody give
me the indications of how to go about this?

Thanks,

John

Rip the DVD to the hard drive, then seperate it out into elemental streams.
These are editable; it'll be advised to re-combine the audio/ video ASAP to
prevent audio sync problems.

Get VideoReDo, rip the whole disc into one VOB using DVD decrypter and
then chop the bit you want using video redo, save as elementary streams
and then use your authoring program of choice.
