Im getting an Error 6 on my car stereo whenever I trying to play a cd that i
burned using Itunes but any other of my burn disc, (usually from friends)
they work no problems. Whats up and how can I fix it, short of replacing the
stereo?

You own the cd. You rip it on your computer (using protection option). Your
computer will be able to play the cd. You copy the song somewhere else (like
burn a cd). This cd will not play, y:
1. The license is not there in the player
2. The player dosn't know how to play protected cd even if license was
copied with the song to the cd.

Anyways the best bet would be to look at the manual for the description on
the error.

correct, as for what my owners manual said was Error 6 = Disc Error (VERY
HELPFUL *rolling eyes*)
any way i just did some testing here and my ar stereo doesnt like burned disc
form either itunes or musicmatch which where set to burn audio cds, i even
tried to burn an mp3 disc which also didnt play, so is my cars stereo just a
POS?

For the sake of troubleshooting, I'd use a CD-R for now. Not all
units can read CD-RW, and unless they're advertised as being able to
read CD-RW, it's kind of a crap shoot whether they will or not.

Suggestion..
Try turning off the 'license/protect' option when you rip/burn..

And make sure you are burning a 'Audio Cd' and not something else..
I use Nero and have no probs.
