What utter humbug. If you were really privy to the information
it would take to make such an authoratitive statement, you wouldn't
be making it here. (and you would likely be employed doing something
more sighificant than you are.)

So you think the war on terror has been a resounding success do you Richard? |
Have you not read any documents from the Project for the New American
Century think tank or any of the key NeoCon figures? How can you be so sure
what I say is humbug? Its very easy to just say humbug and run so how about
the argument that the War on Terror is a success and the destruction of WMD
was the only reason for the Iraq war?
My authority comes from the vast amount of research I have carried out on
the origins of neoconservatism and their development as a political force in
the US. Its my job to know. I am employed doing the most significant job I
could ever want, producing documentaries that hopefully make people think.
Thanks for the career advice.
In 1992, Paul Wolfowitz outlined plans for a war in Iraq with one of its
stated aims to assure access to Persian Gulf oil. Check out the 1992
Defense Planning Guide written by Wolfowitz that was leaked to the NYTimes.
Its online if you would like to track it down.

See "History of Violence".
I'm sure both sides can find fault with it somewhere, but it satisfies
my craving for a balanced and honest look at 9/11, which I am quite sure
will be a shock to most people in the audience, since it appears to be
about a mob killing.
Subtle, nuanced, and intriguing, unlike most of our newspaper columnists.

Whew! That was a close one! I almost fell victim to the false reports of
bombings around the world. Probably more U.S. propaganda to justify
Bush's war. Imagine! Muslim extremists! What a silly notion!

I fully expected that sort of reply which just serves to show the
typical US
citizen only understands superficial arguments. The point regarding the
mythological Al Qaeda was indeed too subtle for you.
You are obviously unaware that the Bush administration coined the term Al
Qaeda a long time before Osama Bin Laden ever did. OBL began using
the term
after he realised that was what the Bush administration was calling
him and
his CIA trained cadres. Any asian teen that's dissafected and is
motivated
by an extreme interpretation Islam to carry out an atrocity is suddenly
elevated to a member of Al Qaeda. All this mythologising is proof
positive
that one should be careful what one wishes for.
Your minds belong to the state..
So how does that change my reply? What is your answer? Is it the U.S. or
the terrorists that are responsible for the "interruption" to world peace?
