Seeing as how I just got the 100mm macro lens, I'm considering getting a
ring flash for it. From what I've been able to find out, the Pentax unit
has 2 pairs of flash tubes which can be triggered separately and of course,
it's compatible with the *ist D (TTL). Price is about $400 depending on
where you look

Also looked at the Vivatar 6000AF which does not have the separate flash
tubes but works with the Pentax AF and is priced around $100.

There are probably several others but anyone have any real-world experience
with these and is the higher priced spread really worth the difference?
