Canon 10D connected to pc and DSLR Remote Pro.
Working fine as long as I don't connect my Norman Strobe Lights .
Immediately Error 99 and camera is shut down.
Any ideas - some special setup ?

Just a guess: the trigger voltage for the Normans might be too high for
camera. Have you thought of using a SuperSlave on the Norman and the built-in
(if the 10D has one) just to fire it? OTOH, my Norman 4000 will only work with
a Wein peanut and not my SuperSlaves, though Norman says otherwise.
camera with strobe is working OK , so voltage -82Volt is ok for Canon

D10.

Next solution might be to go wireless.

Since I don't know your camera, I cannot be specific, and am only guessing
here.

Grounds cause the problem .

I did switch to wireless (radio) and problem solved!!

Yep - ground loops. A less expensive solution other than slaves is to put a
grounding adapter between the Norman power cord and the wall, thus breaking
the ground loop. Of course you don't have the protection of a ground
system, but then most of this equipment is well made enough that usually
isn't a problem. Works for me.

I'd recommend NOT running the Norman without the ground protection. I've had a
4000 go off like a satchelcharge, when the ground connector broke.
