Need A Region Hack For A Sony DVP-NS425P??? |
|
|
I have a Sony DVP-NS425P player which only plays region 1 Dvds.
Recently I went on a trip to Asia and bought about 30 region 3 Dvds
that won't play in my player at home. I know there are ways to hack
other models of dvd players but I haven't found a good hack to make
the DVP-NS425P all region, or to switch it to region 3. Does any one
know of one that can do this?
Thanks,
Anders

Neither did I! I have a JVC for R1 DVDs and a Phillips DVD726 which is very
easily hacked to play my R2 DVDs and convert PAL to NTSC.
http://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks.php?dvdplayer=dvd726&hits=50&Search=Search
It seems the cheaper the player, the easier the hack! Something like:
http://shop1.outpost.com/product/3872067
with
http://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks.php?select=Terapin+TT-1800
Won't break the bank and keeps your Sony for R1 (and with warranty intact)

For around $60 of $70 you can buy a Philips that really only
requiries 3 or 4 keystrokes on the remote to make them fully
multi-region and play any protocol.
Check the hack site for the info. No hardware to modify.
No firmware to burn.
