Avi movies (xvid encoded) have bad quality when played full |

My machine runs Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition SP1. I am trying to
play an xvid avi (DVDRIP). It has no problems as long as I don't switch
to fullscreen mode. But as I soon as I do change to fullscreen, the
picture quality deteriorates. Individual pixels start showing. This
problem does not occur with the same file in XP systems. I have
installed the latest xvid codec and changed video players, but to no
avail. Any help on this? I will be highly grateful. Thank you.
