Replace Nakamichi With Bose |
|
|
I have my home stereo system setup with a Nakamichi RE-10 receiver, a
Nakamichi CDC-300 CD changer, a Nakamichi DVD-10S DVD player, a Sony
equalizer, and a set of Polk R40 speakers.
I love the sound quality from the setup, but it's not so portable. I
am wonering if a Bose Wave/CD player - the table top version - would be
a reasonable replacement for the audio components that I have now.
Bose claims to have a big sound from a small system.
I'd hate to let go of the Nakamichi components, but am wondering if
it's a fair trade off.
Thank you ...

Buy some string, and connect 2 tin cans. It will sound much better |
than the Bose, and much cheaper.

A bit over the top. Bose isn't so much "bad" as (way) "over-priced".

Agreed - the Wave CD player does sound good, it's just that you can get |
other equipment for the same price (or less) that sounds better...
Something like this may fit the bill:
