I bought a YAMAHA DVXS 150 home theatre. It includes a "region 1" DVD.

Can a DVD player with a region code, play DVDs or CDs made on computer?
I had a VHS movie copied to a CD. It played on a cheap APAX region free dvd
player, but did not play on a good expensive DVD.

Thanks

DVD: Yes, if the region code on the DVD is "1". If you create the DVD
yourself, you should be able to set the region code somewere in the
authoring software you use.

CD: Should not be a problem since CD's don't have a region code.

Maybe the player just can't play Video-CD disc's? Older models might not
have this feature.
