Gilmore Jr Kit Katrina Relief Raffle Closed. Thanks for you |
|
|
Hello All,
Thanks for the support, the raffle is now closed. I'll be meeting with the
Salvation Army and will advise the outcome (winner) as soon as I meet with
them. In the mean-time, all who have purchased a raffle ticket(s) will have
their initials and location posted on my site by this evening. Thanks again
for all of the purchases and kind regards. You guys are great! There were
times when you choked me up by your generosity and concern.
There is one person, who wants to be kept anonymous, that is sponsoring the
purchase and partial shipping of an Ardmore Amp Kit for yet another raffle.
We will refer to that person as "P". I don't want to get the new raffle
started until I bring closure to the current raffle. It truly warms my heart
to witness such support for those who need it badly.
Again, thank You for your generosity!
Respectfully,
Rich

Thank *you* for taking the initiative and for putting up the time and
expense to do the raffle in the first place; the contribution is sure
to help. =) |

No thanks necessary. You're doing a really good thing, and the thanks |
should go to you.

Damn Straight....I just got home from a benefit concert here in
Lafayette.
I was pullin' stage crew duty for the show, as we were rappin' cables
I spotted a N.O. artist that is at *EVERY* show I work in N.O.. Lots of
her friends have been trying desperately to find her.
She and her husband had serious hell getting out of the city...
The last thing she told me was that one of the few paintings
she was able to take is one that includes an image of me...
It didn't really hit me until I got home...they took the
shit that really mattered to them. I'm ugly as hell and
the painting is kinda silly, but ....it broke my heart.
Watching this on the news gives people a really good idea,
but finding friends that you think may have perished is
good stuff, and helping 'em along is even better.
We've got about 40,000 homeless people here right now, some
are bums, and some are doctors. All of 'em thank you and your
company. (you're damn right I can speak for 'em...On aga
anyway.) |

"... some are bums, some are doctors.." disasters don't
discriminate.. disasters, among other things, are great *equalizers*...
There are great stories coming out of the "area" about *who* becomes
the "big guy" in town after the hurricane... the guy with the
front-loader and the carpenters have become the "leaders of the
community" over bankers, politicians, etc... people who can actually
DO something in a crisis are the new-found *leaders*...
