Hi all,
Does anyone know of a program that can look at a mpg video file and
tell if its Interlace or progressive mpg capture file?

Your player, tv would determine the output quality.

DVD2Avi, and press f5.......
It gives a bit of info - freely downloadable, and works Ok.

Tmpgenc Plus will tell you if it's interlaced or not, and also Field
A or B for interlaced video.
