I purchased some (pre-recorded) DVD-R disks in Malaysia, which fail to
play properly on either of my DVD players. The movies generally start
OK, but get more erratic the longer they are played. They all start
to shudder, get stuck, and eventually skip to the beginning of the
next chapter. Could this be because there is a label (painted) on the
other side? (I can't remove the label). Or could it be that these are
just really cheap disks and the copying hasn't worked properly? Note
there are no zone issues.
