Re: Slow writing speed in NEC ND2500A. |

I have the same burner and same problem, only I would stay away from Memorex
DVD's, the dyes are unstable and may cause laser damage causing your burner
to be made into "dead like" and unable to finalize dvd's. Try checking to
see if your DMA is enabled, if not, enable it and that will work. It worked
for me. Good luck, and try to stick to better brands of DVD's like TDK,
Ritek, Taiyo Yuden, hell..even Verbatim is better than Memorex. The memorex
DVD's have rendered 2 Lite On set top DVD recorders, and one Cyberhome
recorder unable to finalize DVD's after under a month from "NEW".When I
found this out, I trashed all my memorex unused DVD's. Playback is not a
problem, just recording. Lite On confirmed this when they replaced my last
LVW-5006 because of Memorex, as they claimed. The replacement is doing well
without them btw, lol. Good luck with the speed problem.
