I have some DVDs from China which are "all region" and played on a
very cheap esa DVD player from CC. Then I bought a better combo
DVD/VHS Sony
player (from CC again), and while some of my "all region" DVDs play,
others
don't.

Has anyone else had this experience? Any comments? I was surprised that
the $30 DVD player would play this DVD (A letter from and unknown woman
from china is the only DVD I have tried that won't play). I also have a
DVD of Tokyo Story (Ozu) from china, and it seems to play, even though
it is
also an "all region" DVD.
