I have an original avi with length 1h 50min 7sec. After conversion
with D.I.K.O to mpv and mp2 files (to make a DVD with dvd-lab), the
length of the mpv is 1h 47min 2sec, and as a result the subtitles are
out of sync. Other avi files don't have this problem.

Any ideas on how to solve this?

Kind regards,
Ludwig

I would try to resync the subtitles with Subtitle Workshop. You can
load both subtitles and MPEG there.
