Toshiba DVD Player JPEG Playback |
|
|
I recently purchased a Toshiba Model SD-K750SC DVD/CD player, which
advertises playback of CD-R/CD-RW, MP3, WMA and JPEG files. While the unit
does play DVD’s, CD’s and “burned” CD’s, along with MP3 files burned on a
CD, I cannot get it to play any JPEG files.
I have named the files appropriately to meet the requirements explained in
the Owner’s Manual and have been using a professional CD-RW for the files,
which were taken from my Canon digital camera.
While Toshiba covers themselves with a caution that “some MP3/WMA/JPEG CD’s
cannot be played back, depending on the recording conditions”, I cannot see
what I am doing wrong with the presentation of JPEG’s given to this machine.
The unit attempts to read the files and then posts an “incorrect file”
statement on the screen.
Can anyone help with some suggestions as to how I can get this unit to
respond to my JPEG’s?

Have you finalised the disk? Some of the JPEG capable machines require
the disk to be finialised (closed session) before they can work out
what's going on.
