Stuck Samsung |
|
|
I have a Samsung P241 dvd player (not a computer drive, a
standalone player). I burned a DVD+R disk and put it in the
player. Got the message that the disk could not be read.
AND now the door won't open. I'm out of ideas. Any
thoughts? Thanks. - Tony Lima

Unplug it, wait a few minutes, plug it back in, press the door open button?

Tried that. Didn't work. Thanks for answering. (I think
I've tried most of the obvious solutions.) - Tony

In my case (with a different machine) with the mains off I removed the lid
of the machoine, located the DVD assembly removed two screws which enabled
me to lift the lid of the dvd disc assembly, took out the disc, replaced
screws connected up etc and unit now fine.
I was fortunate in that I only had to remove two screws, you too may be
lucky.

Bit the bullet today and opened up the box. There were 2
dvds in the drive. Took 'em out. Worked. Thanks for the
encouragement. - Tony |
