Well, obviously something that will read CDs, understand the AVI file
structure, decode divx (assumed because of the title of the group) and
connect to a video projector?
A PC, with video out on some card, or a monitor signal splitter/converter,
would do so. As would a divx certified DVD player. Projectors run a large
gamut of capabilities and prices to match. So the "cheapest" needs some
performance specs to be mentioned. And be aware, that the bulbs do burn out
and cost more than several cartons of cigarettes to replace (the analogy
being that both go up in a puff of smoke;-0)
Standard connections would be composite and s-video, contemporary might be
component, and possibly unavoidable DVI. If you're not in the U.S., there
may be others.
If this is the only CD based AVI movie you will ever project, I hope it's
not dad's money you plan to spend;-0)
For some really low-end (though not necessarily cheap) projectors you might
visit the DELL site. After some reading there, google about for better
performance and prices. Philips, LiteOn, KISS, and some others make
stand-alone DVD players that will handle your CD.
