Convert a DVD to another format playable on a CD drive? |
|
|
Rank Newbie here. I got the excellent DVD Decrypter, and decoded a DVD
to my hard disk--but this takes about 5GB of disk space. I'd like to
convert the DVD to another format (mpeg, avi, VCD?), so that I could
burn it via a CDRW and play it on an ordinary CD drive. Is there
software that can do this?

Okay this is one scenario of many
Convert to DivX or Xvid using AutoGK simple and free program and you can
select what size file you want, DVD to say 1 CD or half a CD etc.. but first
when you rip a DVD using DVD Decrypter you need to use the MODE IFO (if you
are going to use AutoGK) and not FILE mode. In AutoGK select DVD and browse
to the IFO ripped folder.
IF you are going to make a DVD I would run the decrypted files through DVD
Shrink to get it down to a normal DVD size - many other software combo's
available.
