I have a series of Matrix amplifiers. Which over teh years i've had them
have caused a few problems.
All still under warranty which i now beleive to be void since matrix is....
no more in its original state anyway.

Onto my question.
I have a 2uA1500 amp (the one in silver with the active xover)
On powering it up some few weeks back now it decided that rather than audio
it would give me a fireworks display.
To of the FET's on the right hand channel seem to have blown (black holes in
the top) this in turn has blwon the main fuse in the amp.

I will need to replace both the fuse (not a problem) and the FET's (not a
big problem) but would like to know
a: where is the best place to get replacement parts from.
and
b: Should i really just replace the FET's or should i let someone have a
look at it incase something else at fault has caused this problem (i would
rather not have to replace them again)

I also have a STR1500 (the later ones) which doesn't want to come off
protect mode.
Now i know this one is like phoning the local garage up and saying my car
wont start, whats wrnog. But i was simply wondering if anyone could give a
few pointers as to what to look for. I cannot see anything out of place
inside this amp unlike the other one. Theres been no bangs and theres still
a supply to the amp.

Has anyone had experience (good or probably bad) with matrix amps?

No expereince - other than looking at them and wondering how they coped with
such tiny heatsinks.

Profusion stock replacement fets.
