Could someone who's tried the many filters for virtualdub give me some
advice. What is the method of de-interlacing mpeg movies?

At the moment I use the simplest deinterlace filter (set to "blend")
and the bri-contrast-gamma filter with the contrast maxed out to not
lose the crispness of the picture.
