DVD recorder that will let you insert chapters on DVD-R? |

Newbie here... My goal is to copy old family movies from VHS to DVD. So far I've purchased two different DVD recorders that I've returned because neither would allow me to insert chapters when recording to DVD-R. An entire VHS tape ends up as one title with no chapters. One would allow it only if recording to DVD-RW (Sylvania) and the other (Panasonic) would only allow it if recording to DVD-RAM. Do any of you know one that will allow this for DVD-R? Also I need to make multiple copies of these (for other family members) and am looking for an easier way to do that instead of going thru the entire dubbing process multiple times. Oh and do any of the recorders do this copying at a higher speed than having to play thru the entire tape you want copied?
From all I've read if I go with one with the hard drive built in, I can do this? Is that correct? I'm thinking this type could eventually help me eliminate the VCR for tv recording as well. Thanks much!
