Sigh.

I hesitate to post this. It's going to sound very kooky.
And sorry about posting to so many groups - I'm desperate.

I have reason to believe I've been seriously harassed for the
past year (in fact I know I have). I'm trying to figure
out how this harassment may have been (as is being) accomplished.

I started an earlier thread regarding sonic weapons.

I agree that, as stated in the original thread, the concept
is not likely possible.

Still, I'm not giving up on the concept yet. It's a best fit
for what I've been experiencing. And yes, my story is long.
But I think you need to know the context of things.

I don't think I'm crazy, especially considering the strange
phenomenon I've been experiencing only happen while I'm in my
apartment.

To wit: strange vibations, seeming to be poked, vibrated,
jiggled, jolted, out of 'thin air' or by an 'invisible presence'.
And these effects are often used to keep me awake at night.

I've got an open mind. If anyone has any ideas on what's going
on, or how this may be accomplished, I'd like to hear them

Sir:
It is my humble opinion that you need to take your antipsychotic
medication which you describe being prescribed to you by your
psychiatrist. Your parents are not trying to harm you. They got you
the medication because they recognize the standard symptoms of
paranoid schitzophrenia in you. Sir, you need their love and their
help. Accepting that you have a problem is the first step to
overcoming it. The muscle quivers may be a mild sort of late-onset
epilepsy or a factor of your autism. Sir, I say these things not to
insult you or harm you, but because I do not care to see a fellow
human being suffer. Sir, you need help. Your family cares for you and
wants to help you. Listen to them, take the medication, and keep
taking it even when you start to feel better. No good can come of
refusing their help and that of your psychiatrist. Trust them. They
want the best for you.

No, I'm not schizophrenic. I've seen several psychologists already,
and they concur.

Did you read my story all the way through? If so you would have
read the strange effects plaguing me only occur while I'm in
my room (apartment). Only for about the past year. I'll hazard that
most poeple enduring what I went through would have 'snapped' -
but I did not.

I would present to you that there are *many* new types of non-
lethal weapons available. The government does not want the public
aware of these things. Testing has been going on for many years,
since WWII. This stuff sounds crazy, which is part of the reason
the people developing and testing these new weapons have been
able to get away with it for so long.

Why do you ask if it makes you annoyed to be not schizophrenic?

I already had lots of restaurant experience and good references from
local business owners that scientologists in the area, only
approximately, have seen the event so far.

His article rather made sure that I never Will get them?

Did you read a couple of years ago about the English laboratory haunted
by misty apparitions, chills, and moaning noises - which was cured by
fixing the air-conditioning?
It turned out that the machinery was setting up a sub-sonic vibration.
Standing waves in the air resulted in areas of low pressure/temperature
manifested as localised chills, and even visible mists where it dropped
below the dew point. Objects like wall panels resonated to produce the
moaning noises, etc etc.
Think of those draughty old castles with their towers and unglazed
windows, like giant flutes, and how they might behave in certain wind
conditions, and you have a very plausible explanation of most old ghost
stories. I'm surprised the story of the haunted lab didn't get more
prominence at the time, but if you google around you'll find it.

I suggest there's something similar going on in your apartment. Find it
and fix it, or live somewhere else.

(...)

Sorry if this gets posted twice.

Deafening silence. Well, I knew this would be a hard sell.

Again, I'm just speculating on one of many different
types of 'e-weapons' that may exist.

Let me take one more stab at this, then I'll f*ck off.

Below is a very interesting link I've uploaded to my site.
Keep in mind this is from 2000. It talks about new breakthroughs
by an MIT student (F. Joseph Pompei ) regarding creating,
focusing, and controlling ultrasound:

http://www.fractalfreak.com/harass/AudioLight.html

They talk about new transducers, which, while only a foot in
diameter, can produce a focused ultrsonic beam with a spread
of about 3 degrees, and range of 100 meters:

"
In order to obtain such narrow directivity from a traditional
loudspeaker system, one would need a loudspeaker array fifty
meters across!
"

And:

"
The directivity, or narrowness, of an acoustic wave generated
by a circular transducer is proportional to the ratio of the
diameter of the transducer to the wavelength of the sound. So
a transducer much larger than the wavelength of the sound
creates a very narrow beam.
"

"
Audible sound contains wavelengths reaching lengths of several
feet, so a reasonably sized loudspeaker will always produce a
very wide, non-directional source at lower frequencies. The
Audio Spotlight, in contrast, outputs short, millimeter sized
ultrasonic waves, which form a very narrow beam even in a
small transducer, which in turn generates audible sound. The
nature of the nonlinear transformation also essentially
eliminates sidelobes in the resulting beam, and maintains
relatively uniform directivity across the entire audible
frequency range.
"

I'll try to be more specific.

Could these ultrasonic beams of sound be focused through commonly
used builing materials, perhaps just a floor or a wall, without
losing much coherence? (especially if a computer tailored the signal?)
I'm just talking about a brief second or two burst, because I
assume the power needed would be high.

What would be the effects, to the body, of being hit by one
of these ultrasonic waves? How would it feel? Keep in mind
these beams can be modulated anyway desired.

Apparently, using interference, or beats, two or more of these
beams can be focused to an area of space. Infrasound, and audible
sound, can be created at the point in space where they interfere. This
apparently can already be done.

So already is would be possible to create rumbles or vibrations
by focusing these ultrasonic beams.

Assuming they could be targeted through a house, most of the
effects I speculated would be possible.

I'm talking about a short burst type weapon. Just enough to
deliver a tap, poke or jolt to the body. Enough to wake someone
up. This needn't take much energy. I see many possibilites using
this scheme.

Am I way off base? Opinions?
