The cheapest I've found is for $465 + freight at Dycom.com.au. All
others are selling it from $489 to $499? Any suggestion except eBay?
Thanx.

I did some research about the iPod prices last week. Result: the best
price I've found at 'Digital Camera Sales Australia'
(http://digitalcamerasales.com.au/product_info.php/products_id/328) at
$448 + postage (depends on your location). Their site design looks more
like bakery:) Anyway, I've ordered 2 of them as Christmas gifts for my
boys and I've received them just yesterday. It tooks a 5 working days
after my payment, but still acceptable.

If you know someone who's a current student or lecturer (with a current ID)
you can get 10% off at an Apple store. I got a 4th gen 40GB from a
colleague who has 'bought' 10 so far for people at work. Mine was $585 (rrp
$650). It used to be even easier- all you needed was a degree.

they don't come with half the accessories now do they? like no remote
control headphones etc, that would piss me... having to get it out every
time you want to change the volume or go the next track

If you want value for money and ease of use, forget iPod. They are pretty
but dysfunctional - ie can't copy songs back off it without a hack. Go for
iRiver or Creative versions and get more bang for your buck without the pain
and ridiculous block on you getting songs back off the things!
